Tostón Pizza

- ¼ Cup of water
- Salt to taste
- Pizza sauce (We made our own)
- ½ Cup of mozzarella
- 1 Handful of fresh basil
- 1 Cup of local ham
Instructions
- Peel and slice the plantain, as if you were making tostones. About 1 inch thick. Fry them on both sides until golden. Let them cool on a paper towel.
- Mash the plantains and add the flour and water. Combine well with your hands. Season to taste and form the base of your pizza.
- Grease the pizza stone with a little oil. Place your base and add a little bit of sauce. Add the ham and the cheese. Bake in a preheaded oven at 350 degrees until cheese is completely melted. Serve with basil.
